TRAUMA THERAPY FOR HEALING GRIEF AND PERINATAL LOSS

Finding wholeness, when everything has fallen apart.

in Santa Rosa, CA and online

Therapy that honors the tender ground of grief as you

face the world again.

You have come to a threshold…

The loss can feel impossible. More than you can bear. The grief is so heavy, so confusing, so all-encompassing. Your most tender dreams, ending so suddenly. Your baby, your child, your loved one.

You need a place to bring this heartache, places to bring this pain of body, heart and mind that is so heavy. Doctors dismiss it, send you home, friends may tell you to “try again” without knowing the loneliness and darkness that you are moving through.

I want to tell you that this loss is a deep journey that merits wise, solid support from many levels. This kind of loss changes us, shatters us, and builds us back differently. You deserve support, you should not have to walk this alone.

Your body is so connected with your loved one, your baby. They left when you had not yet known separation from them. Your hearts beat together. Your biologies were completely intertwined, and both parents are primed to be keeping this child safe and thriving.

To move from this to accepting their death, to not tending to them, touching them, holding them, is psychologically, soulfully, physically excruciating. You might feel like you’ve lost yourself as well as them.

You deserve support for the ache, for the sleepless nights, for the anxiety that comes with this shock, this missing.

Our culture doesn’t have much guidance for this loss, but there is wisdom in the alchemy of grief. It brings us to the deepest part of ourselves, and there is gold in this darkness. You don’t need to be here alone.

What to do with the sorrow…

The road can be so long…

You may have fought so hard to get here. Injections, ultrasounds, waiting. Over and over again. It takes so much, from your relationships, your sense of self, your day to day existence.

It’s easy to feel like your body is failing you, like everything is falling apart. And when a loss happens after so much effort and hope, it can feel tremendously unfair.

The trauma is real. Your nervous system needs a place to land, to ground, to heal again.

Hi, I’m Jessica.

I help you feel the sorrow, the love, the depths—that allow you to step into this time of life (including your broken heart.)

I support you with the pain, frustration, and shock of this life-changing time. I help you learn to see in the dark, and find steps as your world re-shapes, one breath at a time.

I’m not just going to give you some coping skills. I offer deep understanding through lived experience with my own perinatal loss, grief work to help build practices and grounded places to hold you through this journey, so you can be here. Step by step.

I offer effective trauma therapy to help you shift from the overwhelm, the blame, the insomnia, so you can be present with yourself and your loved ones in this time of mourning. I’ll tell you a secret: grieving fully opens the door for bigger presence in life. Which includes joy, it includes the missing and sorrow, it includes the wholeness of it all.

You deserve support as you pick up the pieces and wait for the new foundation of life to form. Here there is room for all of you, including your powerful, broken heart.

I welcome the LGBTQ+ community and Neurodivergent folks.
